In the Astrakhan region since the beginning of 2026, five children became victims of fires. Such data led to the regional department of the EMERCOM of Russia, again urging parents to pay more attention to the safety of minors.

Rescuers remind that young children should not be left at home without adult supervision. Matches, lighters and other sources of fire that a child can find and use during play are particularly dangerous. All such items should be stored in places inaccessible to children.

Special attention should be paid to electrical devices. Children should not be left unattended near electrical equipment, even if it is turned off. Also, minors cannot be entrusted with the burning of furnaces or monitoring the operation of gas appliances.

Another important safety measure is to install an autonomous fire detector. The device responds to the appearance of smoke and gives a loud sound signal, allowing you to quickly notice the danger.

Parents are advised to explain in advance how to act in case of a fire. The child should know that when smoke or fire appears, it is necessary to leave a dangerous room, seek help from adults and call emergency services.
