In the Astrakhan region over the summer in the camps rested 18 thousand children

In the Astrakhan region summed up the results of the summer health campaign of 2026. For three months, 18 thousand children rested in children's camps, which is 5% more than a year earlier. At the same time, the participation of children in cultural and sports activities increased by 23%.

During the summer, there were 195 children’s camps in the region. More than 300 profile shifts with educational, creative and sports programs were organized for schoolchildren. According to the regional authorities, all planned activities took place without incident.

In addition to rest in the camps, an extensive leisure program was prepared for children. Over 1,500 events were held within the framework of the “Download Summer” project. More than six thousand children participated in training, including the programs “Immersion in sports” and “Country coach”.

A separate direction of the summer campaign was the employment of teenagers. During the school holidays, more than 2,500 young Astrakhan citizens received the opportunity to earn. In the future, it is planned to expand the number of jobs for minors.

The region is already beginning to prepare the summer health campaign of 2027. The goal is to maintain child coverage at least at the current level.

Special attention will be paid to the children of participants in a special military operation, children with disabilities and health characteristics, as well as minors who find themselves in a difficult life situation.

In preparation for the next season, it is also planned to strengthen control over compliance with sanitary requirements, fire and anti-terrorist safety in children's camps.
