In August, search engines in the Ivanovo region received 105 applications for missing persons

Over the past month of summer in the Ivanovo region has significantly increased the number of applications for missing people. Volunteers from the LizaAlert search and rescue team searched for 105 people in August, 31 more than a month earlier.

Most of the stories ended well: people were found alive. However, four search operations ended tragically.

In the detachment noted that August was not too busy for search engines, but each trip required serious work. A significant part of the cases were solved thanks to the project “Forest on communication”, which helps people who are lost in the forest.

Volunteers associate this with preventive work among mushroom pickers. According to their observations, people are increasingly taking into account safety recommendations before going to the forest, which allows them to quickly determine their location in case of loss of landmarks.
