In Belarus, more than 400 thousand children rested in children’s camps in the summer of 2026

In 2026, 84 million BYN was allocated from the budget to the Republican Center for Health Improvement and Sanatorium-Resort Treatment of the Population. This was told to journalists on October 6, the director of the institution Gennady Bolbatovsky, reports the correspondent of the agency “Minsk-Novosti”.

According to the expert, the allocated allocations and timely subsidies made it possible to send 404,000 children to camps of various types.

- This is a record figure for the country, which allowed to completely close the need for summer rest for all needy and willing children, Bolbatovsky said. Particular attention was paid to vulnerable groups. In summer, more than 12,000 orphans and more than 7,000 children with disabilities received free or preferential rehabilitation.

Summer children's health campaign was held without emergencies, accidents and outbreaks of mass diseases.

Bolbatovsky also said that during the school autumn holidays, the Republican Center for Rehabilitation and Sanatorium Treatment together with the Ministry of Education organizes the work of school and specialized camps. Thus, it is planned to improve the health of about 70 thousand schoolchildren.
