Almost 157,000 Family Capital accounts opened in Belarus on October 1

In Belarus on October 1, 156.9 thousand deposit accounts “Family capital” were opened for large families, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency reports.

Of these, 82.7 thousand accounts worth $ 826.9 million were opened in foreign currency, 74.2 thousand accounts worth 2 billion BYN were opened in Belarusian rubles.

Early disposed of the means of family capital of 103.8 thousand large families. Most – 80% – spent money on improving housing conditions. Medical services were chosen by 10% of families, education - 9%, the purchase of goods for the disabled - 1%.

From 1 January 2026, the family capital is 35,505 BYN. It is appointed at the birth or adoption of a third or subsequent child.
