Since 1996, 14,800 women have been awarded the Order of the Mother in Belarus. This sb.by reported in the press service of the Ministry of labor and social protection.

The press service added:

- In 2026, the Order of the Mother was awarded to 514 women raising five or more children, who, by their personal example, are an example for society of maternal care and dedication.

The ministry noted that a one-time cash payment in the amount of five budgets of the subsistence minimum on average per capita is provided to the order (in October 2026, BPM is 2651.85).

The Order of the Mother is the state award of the Republic of Belarus. It was established on April 13, 1995, the first award – on October 14, 1996. The Order of the Mother is a nine-pointed relief star inscribed in a circle with a diameter of 40 mm. In the center is a relief image of the profiles of a woman and a child in the rays of the sun, framed by a wreath of oak and laurel leaves, in the lower part of the wreath - a white and blue bow of enamel. The reverse side of the order has a smooth surface, in the center is the number of the order. The order, with the help of an ear and a ring, is connected to a pentagonal pad, covered with a blue moire ribbon with a longitudinal blue strip in the middle. The award is made from tompak with silver and gilding.
