Deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly Angelica Kurczak took the initiative to amend the Labor Code. It is proposed to legislatively fix the right of pregnant women to be released from work for compulsory medical research, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency reports.

According to A. Kurchak, the need for amendments is dictated by real life situations. The reason for the study of the issue was the appeal of the man, who said that his pregnant wife is not released from work for visits to doctors.
- At present, labor legislation does not provide for exemption from work due to the need to undergo mandatory research. We have already worked on this issue in our relevant commissions. I also worked with the Ministry of Health. I hope that when this bill comes to us, I will initiate such an addition to our Labor Code, the BelTA deputy said.
