In Minsk and Gomel, a scientific and educational forum “Love and Unity” dedicated to the education of children and youth was held. The organizer is Leo Tolstoy University (Tula) with the support of the Ministry of Education of Russia, the National Agency for Tourism, the Center for Tourism Development and International Relations, the Synoid Department of the Belarusian Orthodox Church for Cooperation with secular educational institutions, the National Memorial Complex “Temple Monument in Honor of All Saints” and other organizations. It's from sb.by.

- The events of the forum became a platform for discussing pressing issues of patriotic and civic education of the young generation and for the exchange of professional experience between teachers, cultural workers and specialists of the Union State. Its results can form the basis of new methodological recommendations, joint projects and educational initiatives aimed at forming a sense of belonging to a common history and responsibility for the future among young people.
On the first day of the forum in the National Library, experts presented reports on the role of real monuments and traditional values in the spiritual and moral education of young people. The practical part of the program consisted of round tables, where teachers and specialists were able to exchange experience and discuss acute professional issues. At the platform “School and the Future: How to Educate in the Context of Modern Challenges”, the discussion focused on how to adapt educational practices to rapidly changing realities while preserving the continuity of generations. Special attention was paid to the initial stage of school education – participants shared methods that allow children to instill basic moral attitudes from the first years of education.

On the second day, the site of the event was the Temple-monument in honor of All Saints. The work was carried out in two key sections: “Preservation of historical memory as a condition for the education of the individual” and “Joint efforts: modern components of educational work in educational institutions of the Union State”. The participants paid special attention to the challenges of the modern information environment and the role of literature in moral education.

Gomel became the platform of the third day, where the Russian delegation visited a number of sites and facilities to study best practices in organizing civic and patriotic education of children and youth in our country.
