Since the beginning of the year, more than 13.6 hectares of passages along 10–35 kV power lines have been cleared in our country to protect against falling trees. This was told by the first deputy general director - chief engineer of GPO "Belenergo" Mikhail Shevaldin, writes sb.by.

According to Mikhail Shevaldin, this is more than 79% of the annual plan. In addition, together with forestry enterprises, order was put in the adjacent areas with a length of more than 1.24 thousand km.
When asked about the mechanism of interaction with foresters, he clarified that the process is complex:
This is a joint work of power engineers and specialists of the Ministry of Forestry. Everyone performs their tasks: someone is engaged in organizational issues, someone is directly cutting and upholstering. It is important that the work is carried out by professionals, so we work closely with forestry.”.
He also thanked the Ministry of Forestry for its assistance in ensuring the reliability of electricity supply.
