Belarus has created a technical committee on standardization in the field of civil defense and emergency protection
Technical Committee for Standardization TKBY43 "Civil defense, protection against emergency situations of natural and man-made nature" was established in the Russian Federation.

Technical Committee for Standardization TC BY 43 “Civil defense, protection against natural and man-made emergencies” was established in Belarus. This sb.by reported in the press service of the State Standard.

The press service informed:
- This is a new technical committee for standardization, whose field of activity covers the development of requirements and test methods for products intended for civil defense and protection against natural and man-made emergencies. The functions of the secretariat are assigned to the State University of Civil Protection of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus.
The committee may include interested organizations, developers, research institutes, educational institutions, republican government bodies, public associations, consumers, etc. Currently, the list includes 11 organizations.
- The purpose of the formation of the Committee is to assist in the implementation of technical policy in the field of civil defense and protection from emergency situations of natural and man-made nature, as well as to increase the efficiency of work on state, interstate (regional) and international standardization in this area, the State Standard noted.
Technical Committees for Standardization (TC) or with their direct participation develop state standards. The composition of these committees is formed on the principles of representation and voluntary participation of interested subjects of technical regulation and standardization. TCs are voluntary non-profit organizations. Each of them is responsible for a specific area of standardization. It may include subcommittees on standardization.
