The price situation in Belarus remains stable and is under government control

The price situation in our country remains stable and is under the control of the Government. This is reported in the press service of the Council of Ministers, writes sb.by.

First Deputy Prime Minister Nikolai Snopkov held another working meeting as part of a series of events with business on saturation of the domestic market and the price situation. The dialogue was attended by representatives of MART, the Ministry of Construction Architecture, the main manufacturers of building materials, importers and trade organizations, occupying the main share in the consumer market of building materials, as well as spare parts for cars.

“The key topic of the dialogue is the current dynamics of consumer prices in the conditions of the abolition of price regulation, the market situation and the analytical work of state bodies,” the press service said.

The meeting participants noted that the price situation remains stable and is under control. Preconditions for the growth of retail prices are not seen. At the same time, retail chains and importers are warned about the possible resumption of price regulation in case of signs of unreasonable price growth or increased pressure from external factors.

MART, together with the MTS, was instructed to improve the analytical system for analyzing the price situation with the determination of the causes and validity of the growth of retail prices.
