In Belarus over the past day registered about 100 reports of phone calls scammers

Over the past day in Belarus was recorded about 100 reports of calls of telephone fraudsters, the correspondent of the Agency “Minsk-Novosti” with reference to the Ministry of internal Affairs.

Employees of the department of processing fraudulent operations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs prevented the possibility of making payments to 17 foreign details used by attackers and suspended spending operations on 30 accounts. In total, five crimes committed using information and communication technologies were registered over the past day.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the most common methods of deception are now visching (calls allegedly from officials), buying goods on the Internet and theft using social networks.

Law enforcement agencies continue to identify and suppress the actions of attackers. The Ministry of Internal Affairs reminded that promises of quick easy earnings or goods at too low a price on the Internet almost always lead to the loss of money. And the main rule for suspicious calls from strangers is to immediately stop the conversation and report the incident to the police.
