On October 6, the Belarusian State Technological University hosted the grand opening of the Laboratory of Publishing and Media Communications of the Department of Editorial and Publishing Technologies. This sb.by reported in the press service of BSTU.

The event was held in the format of an official ceremony, an interactive presentation and the first tour of the renovated space. As noted by Associate Professor of the Department, Candidate of Technical Sciences Anastasia Ryzhankova, this event opens a new chapter not only in the history of the university, but also in the entire industry:
- The new laboratory is not just an audience, but a creative space where innovative ideas will take real shape, and professional discussions will be born high-quality and competitive publishing products.
Inside the audience - its own atmosphere: spot lighting, active mode of all computers. The creation of the laboratory became possible thanks to the support of one of the domestic publishing houses, which is also a customer of personnel.

Rector of BSTU Sergey Kasperovich during the welcoming speech expressed confidence that the laboratory will be very comfortable for students, it will be easy to perceive information, make professional discoveries together with teachers. An important role will be given to career guidance work with schoolchildren - future applicants and students of BSTU:
- We will invite them here to form an understanding of who they want to become. Today we clearly understand that students choose not just a university, but a future professional trajectory. Here, in this new audience, we can do this together, move forward in training highly qualified and competitive specialists for the printing complex.

The equipment of the laboratory is impressive, the press service of BSTU noted. The latest versions of professional software, reference color displays, tremendous data processing speed – all this is now at the disposal of students. Each element of the technical complex has passed the finest stages of calibration and tuning under the strict supervision of specialists. The equipment is adapted to the specifics of publishing and real production tasks of the industry.

The modernization of the platform, as was noted during the opening ceremony of the laboratory, will rethink the format of lectures, bring the protection of coursework and diploma works to a fundamentally new level, freely connect to international scientific webinars and, most importantly, open the world of publishing and media communication for students.
