In the Brest region, the regional patriotic project Marathon of Courage "1 region" was launched. Strength in unity”

A solemn start to the patriotic project Marathon of Courage "1 Region". “Strength in unity” today, October 6, gave a commemorative rally and a ceremony of laying flowers at the Mass Grave of Soviet soldiers and partisans in Ivanovo, reports sb.by.

Large-scale patriotic marathon will be held in the Brest region from 6 to 8 October 2026. The three-day forum will unite the youth of Brest region around the heroic past, creative present and common values of sovereign Belarus.

The participants of the project will be students of secondary special and vocational education – active members of BRSM NGO from all corners of the region. The general management of the preparation and conduct of the marathon is carried out by the Main Directorate of Ideological Work and Youth Affairs of the Brest Regional Executive Committee and the Brest Regional Organization of the BRSM NGO together with the territorial committees of the Youth Union.

As noted in the Brest Regional Committee of BRSM, this patriotic project was created to unite students on the basis of historical memory and civic responsibility. It combines innovative forms of work with young people, search and research activities, open dialogues and a lively touch to the heroic pages of a small homeland.

In the marathon program, three saturated blocks are planned. The first, the historical and memorial block, includes commemorative rallies and flower-laying ceremonies at landmark memorials and places of military glory of the region, meetings with eyewitnesses of historical events and popularization of search and research activities among young people. The information and dialogue block is open dialogue platforms, discussions on equal terms and youth intellectual tournaments dedicated to preserving the historical truth, strengthening the sovereignty of the country and the role of the younger generation in its development.

And the third, the practical and creative block, unites socially significant initiatives, involving children in labor and volunteer actions to preserve the historical and cultural heritage, as well as interactive formats of youth leisure, strengthening the team unity of the participants of the First Region.
