In Buryatia officially closed fire season

The Republican Forestry Agency of Buryatia issued an order to end the fire season of 2026. According to the document, in the forests of the Baikal, Bichur, Bui, Vitim, Gusinoozersky, Jidinsky, Zakamensky, Kyakhta, Romanov, Selenginsky, Ust-Barguzinsky and Khorinsky Forestry, the season is completed from October 6. In Zaigraevsky, Zaudinsky, Ivolginsky, Mukhorshibirsky, Muisky, Ulan-Ude and Khandagatai forestry - from October 10.

The document instructs the heads of autonomous institutions of the republic - "Trans-Baikal base of aviation protection of forests", as well as Kikinsky, Buisky, Selenginsky, Zakamensky, Kyakhtinsky, Zaigraevsky, Zaudinsky, Muisky, Ivolginsky, Mukhorshibirsky, Khandagatai, Khorinsky, Bichursky and Vitimsky forestry farms - to ensure the fulfillment of the state task for the protection, protection and reproduction of forests for 2026 and the planning period 2027-2028. In addition, they were instructed to organize an inventory of firefighting equipment, equipment and equipment, carry out preventive repairs and subsequent preservation of forest fire equipment before the start of the next fire season.

The fire season of 2026 in Buryatia started on April 1. During this time, according to preliminary data of the Republican Forestry Agency, 107 forest fires were registered in the republic, and more than half - 57 fires - were caused by man. The special fire-fighting regime, which has been operating on the territory of the forest fund since the end of March, was lifted on September 8 due to the stabilization of the situation. Despite this, the fire season formally remained open - all forest fire formations continued to work normally.
