In Buryatia, the convict for repeated drunk driving confiscated Toyota Camry

The Prosecutor’s office of Bichur district of Buryatia supported the state prosecution in a criminal case against a 29-year-old local resident. The court found him guilty of repeated driving while intoxicated.

It was established that in 2025 the man was already brought to administrative responsibility for driving while intoxicated. In January 2026, he again sat behind the wheel of a Toyota Camry in a drunken state. The alcohol concentration was 1.3 ppm.

During the investigation, the man explained: “Drinking a beer at home and went to the gas station.” I knew I was drunk, but I was hoping I wouldn't meet the traffic police.

The court, taking into account the position of the state prosecutor, fined him 210 thousand rubles and deprived him of the right to engage in activities related to driving vehicles for two years and six months.

Toyota Camry car worth more than 450 thousand rubles confiscated to the state. The sentence has not entered into force.
