In the center of Kaluga will save the old manor

In Kaluga, they are considering a project to restore the estate of the XIX century on Voskresenskaya Street, 14-16.

It is planned to restore the main house of the monument of federal significance and prepare it for modern use. This was announced by the head of the regional department for the protection of cultural heritage sites Yevgeny Chudakov.

Now experts are studying the project documentation, which will determine the order of future work.

At the beginning of the XX century, the estate was owned by the Pyatnitsky family or merchant K. A. Cheshihin. Later, the wing was allocated for independent ownership and an additional part with a separate entrance was attached to it.

In 1918, the real estate passed into state ownership, and later apartments were placed in the building.

As told earlier “MK in Kaluga”, in the Kaluga region will turn off the lights on several streets.
