Temporary restrictions on the reception and dispatch of aircraft were introduced at four airports in the capital region, according to Rosaviatsiya.

The measures affected Vnukovo, Domodedovo, Sheremetyevo and Zhukovsky.

"The restrictions are necessary to ensure flight safety," the statement said.

The mayor of the capital Sergey Sobyanin said that air defense shot down 10 UAVs flying to Moscow.
