In Dagestan, the village administration was obliged to return the land alienated by a fraudster

The Prosecutor’s office demanded from the administration of the village of Nizhny Kazansche Buynak district to return to municipal ownership two land plots illegally alienated by the fraudster.

In June 2026, a local resident was convicted under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud) and Part 4 of Art. 327 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (forgery of documents) for fraud with these sites with a total cost of 16 million rubles. Then the court also satisfied the claim of the village administration to claim land from someone else’s illegal possession.

However, after the court decision, the village authorities did nothing to re-register the right and actually return the plots. The prosecutor's inspection confirmed this inaction - the head of Lower Kazan submitted a proposal to eliminate violations.
