In Dagestan opened a monument to the teacher

In the Tabasaran district of Dagestan, a monument to the teacher was opened - a monument was installed on the central square of the village of Khuchni, the press service of the district administration reports.

The ceremony was held on Teacher’s Day. The monument was opened by the head of the district Magomed Kurbanov, acting Minister of Education and Science of Dagestan Yahya Buchaev and other honorary guests of the event.

Kurbanov said that the image of a male teacher was not chosen by chance: in 1928-1930, young people from different villages of the Tabasaran district went to two-year pedagogical courses in Temir-Khan-Shur, and returning, made a great contribution to the development of education in the district.

After the opening, all those present laid flowers at the monument.
