On National Unity Day, representatives of the football community visited the Palace of Independence

On National Unity Day, the Palace of Independence opened its doors for representatives of the football community. More than 120 people – members of the national team, coaches and players of the U-16 youth team and the U-19 women’s team, the leadership of the Belarusian Football Federation Association – visited the halls in which the history of Belarus is written.

- In the Palace of Independence, key decisions are made for the sake of the prosperity of our state. The fact that we are here on such a holiday, special feelings. First of all, pride in our President, responsibility, excitement, said ABFF Chairman Evgeny Buloychik. I want to assure you that we will do everything to ensure that Belarusian football develops successfully, achieves high results and thus contributes to strengthening national unity.

Even before the start of the tour, the players looked with interest in the Hall of Ceremonies, got acquainted with the exhibition of works by winners and prize-winners of international art competitions. Midfielder Arseniy Aplevich stayed at the painting by Anna Romanenko “Our duty is to remember”, dedicated to the theme of historical memory. Looking at the pictured on the canvas of a sleeping child, covered with a soldier's overcoat, he noticed that in our country children are always under reliable protection. In the last days of August, Arseniy, along with other players of the Belarusian youth team, became the winner of the international tournament in memory of Yuri Morozov in St. Petersburg.

U-16 coach Valery Fomichev says: The guys are very proud that they were able to visit the tour in the Palace of Independence. This is a great opportunity for them to learn more about the history of their country.

- We, the coaches, always remind the guys that, wherever and with whom they play, always play for Belarus. The ABFF Academy has many events for players. We try to visit the iconic places of Belarus: we visited, for example, the historical and cultural complex “Stalin Line”, we will soon go to the match in Brest – we will definitely visit the Brest Fortress. It is a pleasure to be in the Palace of Independence. Many could not imagine that here, a kilometer from the House of Football, there is such beauty!

The players enthusiastically listened to the story about the events that took place in the halls of the Palace of Independence.

One of the leaders of the national team Valery Gromyko is preparing for the upcoming matches, recognized as the best footballer of the country by the end of 2025. He said he wanted to visit the Palace of Independence at least once

- I’m glad it happened on such a big day. Belarus is my home, everything. Now we play home games abroad, and, of course, I would like to host international games at home. In addition, we have built such a beautiful National Football Stadium - I want to play only in it. I am sure that the help of the fans of the team would not hurt.
