On Teacher’s Day, firefighters held fire and tactical exercises at Ponazyrev High School

The Kostroma Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reports on fire-tactical exercises that were held on October 5 at the Ponazyrev school by local employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. According to the legend of the exercises in one of the classrooms of the first floor there was a conditional fire due to a short circuit in the electrical wiring. The fire quickly spread through the room - and at the signal of the alarm, the school staff organized an evacuation, taking 130 children out of the "burning" building in a few minutes.

When units of the Ponazyrev local fire and rescue garrison arrived at the site of the conditional fire, only a few students remained in the building, who were confused in a stressful situation and lost their landmark in the smoke-filled corridor. They were already taken out of the burning building by firefighters, who provided schoolchildren with means of individual respiratory protection, after which they began extinguishing the conditional fire.

At the end of the exercises, the rescue specialists reminded the schoolchildren of the basic rules of fire safety, and the teachers were congratulated on their professional holiday.
