In the Arboretum of Sochi will appear new seedlings of Himalayan oak

The Arboretum collection in Sochi has been replenished with a rare Himalayan oak: two seedlings are now quarantined, and in three years they will be planted in the Himalayan department of the park.

As reported in the administration of the resort, seedlings grew from acorns and transferred to the park Andrey Akinshin, a traveler and naturalist from the Tuapse district. Young trees are monitored by the scientific department.

The transmission of plants is not limited to this. A visitor to the park, along with staff, also planted eucalyptus trees. Now in the botanical collection of Arboretum there are 67 species, varieties and forms of oaks.

Earlier it was reported that on October 7, the route to the Imeretinka tract was closed in Sochi.
