37 kindergartens in Dagestan will become pilot sites for learning native languages, said the acting head of the republic Fyodor Shchukin.
In the pilot mode, children will learn six languages - Avar, Dargin, Kumyk, Lak, Lezgin and Tabasaran. The main attention will be paid to the speech development of preschool children.
The pilot sites included educational organizations that already have experience in preserving the national cultures and traditions of the peoples of Dagestan. They are located in 24 districts of the republic. Scientific and methodological support of teachers will be provided by the Dagestan Research Institute of Pedagogy named after A. A. Tahoe-Godi.
Shchukin noted that the task is to help children hear their native speech from an early age, understand it and communicate freely.
