Anatomy, microbiology, Latin and practice in hospitals appeared in the schedule of high school students of the Lyceum of Nuclear Technology in Dimitrovgrad. Since the new academic year, there has been a medical class for children who plan to connect their future profession with medicine.
The basis of the program is chemistry, biology and mathematics - these subjects are studied by lyceum students in depth. In addition to the school curriculum, teenagers master special courses in anatomy, microbiology and Latin.
Learning is not limited to theory. Practical classes will be held in medical institutions, the simulation center of FNCCRIO FMBA of Russia and the laboratories of MEPhI. In particular, students will be able to practice first aid skills.
The program is designed primarily for high school students who are already considering admission to medical universities. Thus, even before graduation, they will be able to get acquainted with the future specialty and receive specialized training.
Medical direction is developing in other schools of the Ulyanovsk region. Currently, such classes operate in four general education organizations. In addition, the Gymnasium No. 34 at USU has a specialized class of an advanced engineering school, where schoolchildren study chemistry and biology in depth and get acquainted with medicine and the pharmaceutical industry.
In total, there are about 400 profile and pre-professional classes in the Ulyanovsk region. Their areas are not limited to medicine: schoolchildren also get acquainted with engineering, agrotechnical, pedagogical and other specialties.
