Soviet street was historically considered the main shopping street of the city, where the houses of merchant families were preserved. The building itself refers to the heyday of Borovichi as a shopping center on Mst: in the second half of the XIX century, merchants, forest and brick industries, as well as shipping, developed here.

The initial price of construction is 6.8 million rubles. The department stressed that the house needs major repairs, but engineering communications are already connected to it. Since the building is a cultural monument, all works must be carried out strictly in accordance with the requirements of the legislation on the protection of cultural heritage.
