On the Big Raznochinnaya Street, 4 at the end of the overhaul of the facade of the historic residential building. Restorers paid special attention to bas-reliefs with griffins and hippocampuses. The surviving ones were restored, and the lost parts had to be recreated on casts. Also, experts returned to the place capitals and floral ornament, which was near the building. In the flights of stairs installed new windows of pine wood, and the front entrance decorated with oak doors.
It is noted that the building was built in 1911 by the architect Peter Batuev, and before the First World War, the future writer Mikhail Zoshchenko lived here for a short time.
