In the Egyptian Great Pyramid, a hidden secret code was discovered

A secret "code" hidden in the Great Pyramid, according to one archaeologist, may reveal the true purpose of this ancient wonder of the world.

Independent researcher Sefi Levy claims that the proportions of the Great Pyramid represent a secret numerical system that was created in order to survive for centuries after the builders left the site.

In a paper published in the journal SSRN and not yet peer-reviewed, the scientist states that these hidden hieroglyphs are encrypted in the height, base, slopes and general shape of a pyramid built 4,500 years ago, similar to the Egyptological “Da Vinci Code”. Like the ancient Mayan calendar, these measurements correspond to the cycles of the moon, calendar and planets visible to the naked eye.

Thus, Levy concluded that these patterns were created in order to preserve the knowledge of the ancient Egyptians in mathematics, astronomy and other sciences for centuries, which means that the Great Pyramid was not just a funerary structure erected for the Pharaoh Cheops (Khufu), as claimed in textbooks.

“The pyramid is not a receptacle of knowledge,” the researcher said. This is the knowledge embodied in stone.

To prove that these astronomical “Easter eggs” were hidden in plain sight, Levy divided the key dimensions of the pyramid into fractions used by ancient Egyptian scribes and found that the results matched important numbers in mathematics and astronomy.

One of the results, 27.5, was frighteningly close to the 27.55-day interval between successive lunar perihelions — the points in the moon’s orbit at which it is closest to Earth. Levy suggested that another result, 70, symbolized 70 days during which the star Sirius disappears from view, eclipsed by sunlight.

Other calculations appear to correspond to the repeated motions of Saturn, Jupiter, Venus and Mars across the sky. Levy argued that along with astronomical data, the dimensions of the Great Pyramid correspond to the number of pi and the golden ratio, or phi, the so-called mathematical embodiment of beauty.

To prove that this was no coincidence, the researcher applied the same method to 100,000 computer-generated models of pyramids from the ancient kingdom with different sizes. He found that 2,419 dimensions, or just 2.4 percent, matched mathematical and astronomical patterns, meaning that the Great Pyramid did indeed have code deliberately hidden within its walls.

In fact, according to Levy, the Great Pyramid was erected not in honor of Khufu, but as a monument to Benben - the original hill of Heliopolis mythology, from which the creation of the world began. The researcher believes that this fictional place corresponds to the “Eye of the Sahara” – a moat-like formation in Mauritania with a cape in the middle, where, in his opinion, the ancestors of the ancient Egyptians lived.

When the region dried up due to drought, refugees moved to the Nile and erected pyramids in memory of their ancestral homeland. At the moment, there is no evidence to support this theory, the New York Post notes. However, this is just one of the many conspiracy theories related to the pyramids that have emerged in recent times. In the spring, Italian researchers said they may have found evidence of the existence of the Sphinx under the pyramids at Giza, indicating the existence of a vast underground citadel. They explained that the lines connecting the pyramids to the famous Sphinx also point to a parallel hill beneath which the second statue is believed to be located.
