In Essentuki plan to restore the hotel “Metropol”

In Essentuki, they plan to restore the historic Metropol hotel, located on International Street and empty for almost 30 years.

The building was built in the early XX century and was previously considered one of the most prestigious places for guests: it had 64 rooms, a restaurant and a dance hall. Over time, the object fell into disrepair, but recently its owner changed. The new owner intends to restore the original architectural appearance of the hotel.

The project of restoring the attraction was discussed last autumn during a working trip of the Governor of the Stavropol Territory Vladimir Vladimirov to the Caucasian Mineral Waters. The head of the region noted that the building has great historical value and in different years hosted famous cultural figures. Vladimirov stressed that the work requires a careful approach and will be accompanied by the regional authorities.
