The program of the first day of the forum in the agro-town of Lyaskovichi of Petrikovsky district began with the solemn opening and ceremony of laying flowers at the military burial. After that, the participants joined the patriotic action “Symbols of which I am proud!” – within the framework of which they took a joint photo from a bird’s eye view with the 8-meter flag of the Republic of Belarus. Then the youth delegation moved to the Nature Museum of the Pripyatsky National Park, which became the main discussion platform of the day. It was here, in the meeting room, that the participants met in the format of an open dialogue with the Chairman of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee Ivan Krupko and the Assistant to the President - Inspector for the Gomel Region Yuri Valevat.

Before addressing the leadership of the region, the participants answered the questions of the organizers. The main topic of discussion was the consolidation of a new generation of personnel in agriculture. According to the children, first of all, a person should have a soul to live in the village. However, equally important and comfortable conditions:

- It is important to develop the social sphere in the regions - to build kindergartens, open shops, create places for recreation. When there is all the necessary infrastructure for a full life, then no one will pull into the big cities, the participants shared their opinion.

One of the participants directly asked the governor about the main strategic task that is being solved in the region. As the head of the region Ivan Krupko emphasized, the complex arrangement of the hinterland and the consolidation of people in agro-towns and villages is one of the main elements of state policy:

- The country is implementing a strategy of strong regions. The key task is to ensure that no district lags behind, and all develop evenly. Conditions in the countryside are improving in all areas: from the manufacturing sector to health care, sports, culture, from business opportunities to the development of tourism. Therefore, dare, strive at the very beginning of your career to gain authority on the ground, to become real professionals in your field.

Assistant to the President Yuri Valevaty noted that the young specialist in the agro-industrial complex has many opportunities to prove himself:
Assistant to the President Yuri Valevaty noted that the young specialist in the agro-industrial complex has many opportunities to prove himself:

- And what kind of specialists you become in your teams primarily depends only on your desire to develop, improve, on your love for the chosen business. The theses of the regional leadership on the harmonious development of the regions found a lively response among the participants, becoming for many confirmation of the correctness of the chosen path. Ekaterina Titova, chief accountant of the SUE “Red Army” of the Rogachevsky district, who has been working in the farm for the fifth year under a targeted training agreement, admits that the words of the governor about the life balance were the key words for her:

- Ivan Ivanovich Krupko said that everything in life should be timely: in time to build a career, in time to start a family, to give birth to children. This is a very wise thought, and my personal plans coincide with it. For four years of work on the ground, I have already been a professional, I have been in a happy marriage for three years and now my husband and I are planning to join the family. At the same time, I do not think to leave my career - there is much to grow in the countryside. In our Rochev agro-towns, for example, in Pobolovo, excellent conditions have been created: there are schools, kindergartens, hospitals and leisure centers. Everything is organized at the highest level, so it does not pull to big cities.

This vector of confident professional development and informed choice of rural life was supported by other forum participants. Alexei Romanovsky, legal adviser of OJSC "Vostok" who works in the farm for the first year, also stressed the importance of a direct conversation with the authorities:

- It was a really exciting day that I will remember for a long time. Listening to the leadership of the region was incredibly valuable: they spoke not abstractly, but about real affairs, about the development of the village and opportunities for young specialists. It felt like young people were being treated as a real driving force. For me, the forum became a pivot point – there was more confidence that my work in the countryside is important and necessary.

The importance of such initiatives for uniting teams on the ground was highlighted by the chairman of the Gomel district committee of the Belarusian Trade Union of Agricultural Workers Olga Zamotevskaya, who accompanied a delegation of young specialists from leading farms of the district to the forum:

- Seeing kids ask strong questions, soak up information and start talking about ideas is really inspiring. The meeting with Ivan Krupko and Yuri Valevat showed that the voice of young people is heard, and their initiatives are ready to support. Now our team has clear guidelines: we better understand how to connect personal plans with the development of territories. The forum has become an excellent launch pad for new projects.

As part of the action “Share the warmth of your soul”, the volunteer team “Good Heart” visited the Lyaskovich district hospital. Activists gave gifts and hygiene products to elderly people in nursing wards, and prepared a small heartfelt concert program for them.

Further in the program - a visit to the production facilities of Petrikov region. Young farmers will get acquainted with the work of the pellet boiler house and granary in Agro Laskovichi OJSC, and also visit the village of Brinev, where the technologies of growing Aberdeen-Angus beef cattle will be studied at the commodity farm.

The first day of the forum will end with a large tour of the expositions of the Museum of Nature, a visit to Safari Park and a dinner with a music program. Tomorrow, October 10, the participants will move to Kalinkovichi, where they will join the events of the regional festival-fair “Dozhinki-2026”.
