In the GAI Tver region issued a warning for drivers
In connection with the first night frosts, the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Tver region calls on all road users to exercise increased caution

In connection with the first night frosts, the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Tver region calls on all road users to exercise increased caution.
With the onset of cooling, the road surface loses traction, ice may form in some areas. This significantly increases the risk of accidents, especially in conditions of reduced daylight hours and precipitation, the report said.
In the GAI appealed to drivers:
• Check the technical condition of the car: the serviceability of headlights, stop lights, wipers and tires.
• Keep a great distance to the cars in front and reduce speed before pedestrian crossings and intersections.
• Avoid sharp maneuvers, rearrangements and emergency braking.
Recommendations for pedestrians:
• Use reflective elements on outerwear, bags and backpacks – this increases visibility in the dark and in bad weather.
• Remember that on a slippery road, the braking distance of the car increases significantly.
• Cross the roadway only after making sure the vehicles are completely stopped.
The State Traffic Inspectorate of the Tver region urges everyone to be attentive and strictly observe the rules of the road.
