In Genichesk, specialists of the Center for Psychological, Pedagogical, Medical and Social Assistance help children with disabilities adapt to independent life. The institution has been operating in the region since 2023 and accepts patients aged 0 to 18 years from all over the Kherson region.
The basis for drawing up an individual rehabilitation plan is the conclusions of the Psychological-Medical-Pedagogical Commission (PMPC). According to the results of complex diagnostics, teachers assess speech skills, concentration, behavior and motor activity of the child.
For children with autism spectrum disorders, cerebral palsy and other health features, classes are built in a playful form: specialists help develop the speech apparatus, practice socialization skills, train balance and fine motor skills.
In addition to the correctional direction, there is a crisis center in the structure of the institution, where teenagers and their parents turn for psychological support in difficult life circumstances.
