The Genetic Center for Children and Youth Creativity hosted the festival of digital art “Folk crafts: yesterday, today, tomorrow”

In the Genetic Center for Children and Youth Creativity, the festival of digital art “Folk crafts: yesterday, today, tomorrow” was held. The event, timed to the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia, was organized by the Agency for Innovative Development with the support of the First Movement of the Kherson region.
The program included master classes, lectures and practical classes. Participants were told about the directions of digital art, how modern technologies help to preserve cultural heritage, as well as about services and tools for creating their own digital works based on traditional folk crafts of Russia.
Olga Yavorskaya, the chief specialist for the development of patriotic education of the First Movement of the Kherson region, noted that when young people turn to folk crafts and rethink them through digital art, the tradition becomes lively and understandable for children. According to her, participants not only learn about cultural heritage, but work with it themselves, passing through their own creativity. It is this practical format that helps to build respect for the culture and history of the country.
The festival ended with a short film, which included the best digital works of participants of previous festivals.
