In the Golopristan district, police seized almost 250 grams of hemp from a local resident

Employees of the drug control unit of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia “Holopristansky” in the course of operational-search activities established the involvement of a 59-year-old resident of the village of Novofedorovka in the illegal storage of drugs.

When inspecting the land on the territory of the household of the defendant, the police found plants with a characteristic smell of hemp. The examination confirmed that the seized plant is a drug-containing plant with a total weight of almost 250 grams in the dried state - according to the legislation of the Russian Federation, this refers to a large size.

The man explained that he picked and stored plants for personal use. In relation to the suspect, the investigator initiated a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under part 2 of Article 228 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The sanction of the article provides for a punishment of up to 10 years in prison.
