In Gomel during the training and field collection, cadets of the Ministry of Emergency Situations examined more than 470 households

In Gomel, the training and field gathering of cadets of the University of Civil Protection of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was completed. This is reported in the telegram channel of the rescue department, writes sb.by.

“During the training camp, Gomel became a place of large-scale preventive work. Future rescuers actively applied their knowledge in practice, conducting homestead rounds in the residential sector of the region. In total, the participants of the collection examined more than 470 households of citizens, the Ministry of Emergency Situations informed.

During the visits, the attention of future rescuers was focused on residents who are traditionally in the high-risk group and need additional support: lonely elderly people, citizens with disabilities, as well as large families.

Participants of the gathering reminded residents about the rules of behavior and ways to ensure safety in homes in the autumn-winter period, checked the state of heating in households, warned about the danger of smoking in bed. They paid increased attention to the issues of proper preparation of heating equipment for winter, as well as the availability and serviceability of autonomous fire detectors.
