In the new district of Grozny named after Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Zelimkhan Kadyrov Mosque, designed for six thousand believers, was solemnly opened. This was reported by the head of the region.
The main architectural feature of the new religious object is the largest dome in terms of area among all mosques of the CIS countries, the diameter of which is 70 meters. The building is 25 meters high.
“I express my sincere gratitude to my beloved mother, President of the Regional Public Foundation named after Hero of Russia Akhmat-Haji Kadyrov Aimani Nesievna for such an invaluable gift to all Muslims of the republic!”, Ramzan Kadyrov said.
Earlier it was reported that from 15 to 18 October in Grozny will host the international festival of solo dance.
