In Ivanovo, discuss the fate of the flower garden “Crane Dawn” on Revolution Square
The administration of Ivanov asked to remove from the square of the revolution flower garden “Crane Dawn”, which was noticeably damaged after damage to plants and soil
Ivanov’s administration asked to remove the Crane Dawn flower garden from the Revolution Square, which was noticeably damaged after damage to plants and soil. Charitable foundation “Iva”, engaged in the creation and maintenance of the flower bed, admits that now it does not look the best way, but considers it premature to abandon the project.
A flower garden in the style of a natural garden appeared in the city in 2024. Then the staff of the foundation, together with volunteers, planted 1,095 perennial plants and 500 bulbs. More than 400 thousand rubles were spent on the creation of the flowerbed. Later, a large part of the landings were poisoned. Despite the washing of the soil, the use of special means, the replacement of soil and mulch, the land has not yet fully recovered. Twice planted in place of the dead plants also do not take root well or continue to die.
The fund emphasizes that the preservation of the flower garden can be more profitable than the annual replacement of plantings with annual flowers: such planting costs about the same 400 thousand rubles each year. In addition, the perennial flowerbed serves as a natural refuge for pollinator insects, providing them with food and shelter throughout the year.
Representatives of the “Iva” declared their readiness to continue the restoration of the “Crane of Dawn”. Plants for autumn planting have already been delivered, and further work will include updating damaged areas and finding ways to improve soil condition. The fund believes that the project, which has invested funds and several years of work, is worth trying to save.
