In Kalinkovichi honored the heroes of the harvest and revealed the intrigue of the next capital of the regional “Dazhynak-2027”

The updated Polesie district center - Kalinkovichi - today, October 10, became the main business and festive platform of the region. Here, the results of the busy agricultural season were summed up on a large scale and, under the applause of thousands of guests, the leading harvesters from all over the region were honored. The current regional festival "Dazhynki-2026" Gomel region met with a significant result: the labor feat of farmers allowed the region for the second year in a row to fall asleep in the country's backyard loaf-millionaire. The celebration turned into a large-scale platform of deserved recognition of those who daily forge food security of the republic.

The holiday opened with the theatrical prologue "Narajanne loaf", during which the main symbol of "Dazhynak", the crown of hopes and aspirations of grain growers, the result of their hard work, the fight against the vagaries of the weather - loaf millionaire Gomel region-2026 - was accepted by the Chairman of the Gomel regional Executive Committee Ivan Krupko.

The labor success of Gomel farmers was noted at the highest state level. Congratulations from the Head of State Alexander Lukashenko to the guests and participants of the holiday in Kalinkovichi was read out by Yuri Nazarov, the Manager of the President of the Republic of Belarus.

The year was tense, difficult for the agricultural industry, but a decent harvest was collected for the holiday. Welded 1 million 171 thousand tons. The region fulfilled the state order for grain, provided the needs for feed of the livestock industry. We are proud of our combiners, more than 500 of them became thousandths, the best threshed more than 3000 tons. We are proud of drivers on the delivery of grain, operators of grain dryers, employees of third-party organizations that have joined the harvesting room. And our women, who also helped in the harvest. We are grateful to all the workers involved in the general caravan.

The governor stressed that Dazhynki not only show success, but also give an opportunity to look into the future, make sure that the agricultural industry and the entire region are developing - new facilities are being built, technologies are being introduced, rural settlements bloom.

Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Terekhov also addressed the participants and winners of the festival-fair:

- For the second year in a row, Gomel region adds more than a million tons of grain to the republican loaf. This result is not accidental, it is based on great diligence and professionalism.

Time of well-deserved awards and festival victories The central moment of the ceremony was the presentation of well-deserved awards. Yuri Nazarov, Managing Director of the President of the Republic of Belarus, presented OJSC Tikhinichi headed by Yuri Vasiltsov with the President’s Gratitude and keys to the new Belarus tractor.

From the hands of the chairman of the regional executive committee Ivan Krupko, the keys to the new Lada Niva Legend SUVs were received by 11 women heads of households (since this year is declared the Year of the Belarusian Woman in Belarus), as well as eight young graduates of the Young Leader School project.

A special sign of attention and a well-deserved certificate for a valuable gift were presented to the young teacher of the Braginsk secondary school Victoria Poznyak. During her summer vacation, she worked on the transportation of grain in the local farm “Byvalki” and set an incredible record, transporting more than 4000 tons of grain!

After the award, the young record holder was embarrassed to share her emotions:

- There was no excitement before going on the big stage, because I came to Kalinkovichi with the most reliable support group - my mother. She is always calm and confident next to her. And this day I will remember twice: very soon in my life will happen the most important and beautiful miracle – I will become a mother!

Not only individual crews, but also entire regions showed high results in the harvest. According to the results of the regional competition, the Rechitsky district won the first place among the districts.

In parallel, the triumphants of creative locations were determined. The best festive column at the procession was recognized as the procession of grain growers of the Kalinkovichi district, in the review of the farmsteads the Dobrushsky district won, and in the competition of straw sculptures the Rechitsky district.

The Chairman of the Oktyabrsky District Executive Committee, Irina Namochenko, admitted that in the current Year of the Belarusian woman, a lot is said about the role of the beautiful half of humanity:

- They talk about the vocation of the leader, mother, wife. But I have always clearly defined these concepts. At work, I am primarily a leader. I have a colossal, round-the-clock responsibility for the life support of our entire district and for the fate of its residents, so there can be no discounts on the floor.

According to the head of the district, it is difficult tasks and the visible result of common work that make us move forward when real achievements open up a second wind.

- My formula for happiness is actually simple, smiles Irina Mikhailovna. This is when there is a worthy result in the cause to which you give yourself, when the comfort and warmth of loved ones are always waiting for you at home, and a firm faith in the best lives in your heart. With God, and then everything will work out. I myself was born here, in October, so I love my native land, its people and all our Gomel region with all my heart. Natalia Kontsevaya, chief accountant of the Department of Agriculture and Food of the Braginsky District Executive Committee, shared her opinion on the importance of coordinated work of the financial and reporting service of the agro-industrial complex:

- I have been working in the agricultural sector for 40 years, of which 32 years in management. Our task is not only to pay salaries. We carry out painstaking work with all agricultural reports of the farms of the district, do a set of data, submit them to the region. It's a huge responsibility. I am very pleased that my many years of work have been awarded a high ministerial award. Thank you very much!

For the advanced harvesters, attention at such a high level was a huge event. Tractor-machinist OJSC "Iskra-Vetka" Vetkovo district Vasily Portnoy does not hide joy:

I really like working on the ground, although you can’t call it easy. In this struggle, I worked right at the helm of the harvester, grinded two thousand tons of grain with pennies - the result, of course, very pleased! But the high reward came as a surprise to me. Emotions are overwhelming, even difficult to convey in words. It is very pleasant and joyful that our work is noticed and so highly appreciated. We'll keep working!

His thoughts on the continuity of generations shared and tractor driver KSUE "Borschovsky" Dobrush district Viktor Ovsyannikov:

- I have worked as a mechanizer all my life, I have been working on the ground for more than 30 years. Follow in the footsteps of our parents, we have a family. And my father worked on the earth, and my brother was all mechanics. I have been used to technology since childhood. We were taught to work on conscience: in the field to zeal, and equipment with their own hands to be able to repair everything as it should be, to the screw. - This is the first time I have been awarded at such a high level. I found out about the fact that I was among the front-runners of the region and I was invited to Dazhynki about a couple of weeks ago. All this week I was preparing thoroughly, with thoughts. I feel great in costume today, I am not used to it. The mood is cool! Working on the ground is not easy, but a favorite. We will continue to work hard and strive for new records.
