In Kantemirovsky district opened a case of hacking messenger

The prosecutor's office of Kantemirovsky district conducted an audit of compliance with the requirements of accounting and registration discipline and revealed violations when considering the appeal of a local resident.

As the inspection showed, in July, the unknown person received unauthorized access to the woman’s account in one of the messengers. Having taken possession of someone else’s account, the attacker began sending messages on her behalf with requests to transfer money.

Despite the obvious signs of a crime, a decision was made on this fact to refuse to initiate a criminal case.

The prosecutor’s office, having found a violation of the law, applied measures of prosecutorial response. After an additional inspection, a criminal case was opened under part 2 of Article 272 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. We are talking about illegal access to legally protected computer information, committed from vested interests.

The investigation is under the control of the district prosecutor's office.
