In Karelia, the businessman will pay 100 thousand for fake Apple

Petrozavodsk court prosecuted the entrepreneur for trading counterfeit accessories for iPhone.

According to the materials, the entrepreneur from Petrozavodsk was fined 100,000 rubles for selling accessories for the iPhone without Apple’s permission to use its trademarks.

The incident became known thanks to the inspection of Rospotrebnadzor, initiated on the complaint of representatives of Apple. Inspectors found in the store charging, cables and cases for iPhone with a brand logo.

The goods were arrested and the seller was brought to administrative responsibility. The court noted that Apple did not enter into any agreements with the businessman. It was found that the illegal use of someone else's trademark causes damage to the right holder. The seller, by court decision, had the opportunity to check the legality of the origin of the goods, but ignored this fact.

As a result, in addition to the fine, the court decided to destroy all the arrested counterfeit products.
