Chairman of the regional election Commission Marina Zakharova held a briefing on the first results of the elections of deputies of the State Duma in the Kherson region

Chairman of the regional election commission Marina Zakharova held a briefing on the first results of the elections of deputies of the State Duma in the Kherson region.
According to her, the turnout at the moment reached 58.31%. The head of the commission described this indicator as quite high, adding that the figure was calculated as a cumulative result, taking into account early voting.
Marina Zakharova noted that the starting day of the single voting day in the region was very busy - polling stations worked with a large influx of citizens. In general, according to her, the electoral process in the Kherson region was marked “excellent”.
All stations started work at eight in the morning. However, due to the threat of drones, some of them were forced to temporarily suspend voting. As explained by the Chairman of the Oblast election Commission, members of the commissions and voters had to leave the premises for a short time, but after removing the danger, everyone returned to their seats and continued to vote.
During the first day, Marina Zakharova, together with Governor Vladimir Saldo, visited three thematic areas - two in Genichesk and one in Novotroitsk district. One of the venues is named after Kirill Stremousov: an exhibition about his life and work was organized there, and the head of the region was the first to give his voice.
Young people were very active. For young voters, a special polling station was issued with a photo zone, karaoke and games, and those who voted for the first time were presented with gifts from the Oblisbirth Commission and the Ministry of Youth Policy.
Special attention was paid to work with disabled citizens, including voting at home on applications. The process was monitored by observers. According to Marina Zakharova, on the first day of violations and complaints were not recorded – the process was held as usual.
