In Khimki detained the accomplice of fraudsters for 15 million

In the Department of communications GU MIA of Russia in the Moscow region received information about the detention of an accomplice of telephone fraudsters in Khimki. The Ministry said that the duty part of the Ministry of internal Affairs appealed 60-year-old local resident with a statement about the theft of more than 15 million rubles.

According to police, the victim was called by unknown persons, whom he told the code from the SMS allegedly to record the replacement of keys for the intercom. Later, he was contacted by pseudo-employees of Rosfinmonitoring and law enforcement agencies, who reported that attackers had access to his account on the State Services to issue a power of attorney for a person recognized as an extremist in Russia. The scammers persuaded the man to transfer savings to trustees for declaration to avoid criminal liability. The victim followed the instructions, after which he realized that he was deceived, and went to the police.

In the State Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Moscow region reported that the criminal investigation officers identified and brought to the duty unit a 19-year-old resident of Ufa, who played the role of courier and gave confessions.

The investigator opened a criminal case under Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, the Khimki city court elected a preventive measure in the form of a ban on certain actions. Measures are being taken to identify accomplices and other episodes.
