In the Church of St. Nicholas in Povenets baptized 13 pupils of the boarding school

In Povenza, 13 children from a correctional boarding school were baptized.

In early September, in the Povenetsky Church of St. Nicholas, 13 students of the local correctional boarding school accepted the Sacrament of Baptism. According to the resource “Orthodoxy in Karelia”, spiritual support and attention are especially important for these children who have special developmental features.

The role of godparents for children was assumed by boarding school teachers Natalia Zelinskaya and Yulia Fedorova. Now they will not only be mentors, but also spiritual patrons of their wards. After the Sacrament of Baptism, a sweet table was set in the refectory temple for children. With tea and cake, the children shared the holiday together with the rector of the temple, Archpriest Roman Sobolev, godparents and parents.
