In the Kirov region closed rehabilitation center for dependents

The organization worked in the Sloboda district, providing citizens with social assistance and adaptation programs with permanent residence.

During the inspection, it turned out that the building of the institution did not meet the safety requirements at all. The interior rooms were not properly equipped to locate patients and the management flouted fire regulations.

Experts from the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations were involved in the inspection of the facility, who officially confirmed that the safety of guests in case of a possible fire was not guaranteed.

Such violations in social institutions with permanent stay of people created a direct threat to their life and health, since in the event of an emergency, prompt evacuation of patients would be impossible.

To protect the rights of citizens, the supervisory authority first made a submission to the leadership of the organization. However, the administration of the center ignored the comments and did not eliminate dangerous shortcomings.

To stop the ongoing inaction, prosecutors sent a statement of claim to the court demanding to oblige the management to correct violations of the law.

The court reviewed the case materials and satisfied the stated requirements in full. Now the court decision has been executed, and the illegal activity of the rehabilitation center has finally stopped.
