In Kormyansky district, agricultural workers were detained payments – the prosecutor’s office intervened

Systematic violations of workers’ rights and labor legislation were revealed by the prosecutor’s office of the Kormyansky district at the agricultural enterprise. This was reported in the information service of the Prosecutor’s office of the Gomel region, writes sb.by.

It was established that in 2026, 56 employees were given leave at the enterprise, but only eight employees received leave on time. In some cases, payments were delayed by almost two months.

“At the time of the audit, five staff members were on leave and the employer had not made the necessary payments. In addition, 33 employees were laid off at the company in nine months. Only seven of them received timely payments upon termination of the employment contract. The longest period of non-payment of the final calculation during dismissal was one and a half months, the regional prosecutor’s office said.

A submission was made to the head of the agricultural enterprise with a demand to eliminate violations, as well as the reasons and conditions that contributed to them. As a result, after the intervention of the prosecutor’s office, the labor rights of citizens were restored: the employer transferred leave to five employees in the amount of more than 7.2 thousand, with eight former employees, the final calculation was made for the amount of more than 5.1 thousand.

The prosecutor of the Kormyansky district sent to the Gomel regional department of the Department of State Labor Inspectorate an order to bring the director of the enterprise to responsibility under Part 3 of Article 10.12 of the Administrative Code.

In the Maloritsky district, the deputy director of the farm was convicted for taking a bribe in the amount of almost 15 thousand.
