In Kostroma opened an exhibition about people who defeated cancer
In the Kostroma oncological dispensary appeared a permanent photo exhibition “Chemistry was, but we parted”

In the Kostroma oncological dispensary there was a permanent photo exhibition "Chemistry was, but we parted." Its heroes are people who have gone through severe treatment of cancer. They share their stories to support other patients, help them cope with fear and keep hope of recovery.
One of the participants of the project Maria Panikarovskaya admitted that at first she did not dare to take pictures without a wig. After treatment, she had short hair and feared that others would look at her with pity. However, participation in the photo project helped her to accept herself and her experience of the disease.
The All-Russian Charitable Initiative has existed for five years, but it was presented in Kostroma for the first time. Its main task is to provide psychological support to people faced with oncology. According to the organizers, after filming, many participants change emotionally: they begin to smile, feel more confident and stop hiding the external consequences of treatment.
Now under the supervision of Kostroma oncologists are about 20 thousand people. Doctors note that a positive attitude and support of loved ones are of great importance during long-term treatment. Mikhail Khabarov, deputy chief physician of the oncology clinic, stressed that photos of smiling people who continue to fight for their health help both patients and medical specialists.
You can see the exposition “Chemistry was, but we broke up” in the oncological dispensary and Berendevka Park. In the medical institution, the exhibition will work on a permanent basis.
