In the Kostroma region, teachers received the first right to enroll children in kindergartens

Governor Sergey Sitnikov signed a decree expanding social support measures for education workers. Now the children of teachers have a priority right to enroll in preschool institutions in the region.

To confirm the benefits, it is enough for parents to provide at the place of demand a copy of a professional certificate or a certificate from the place of work. If there are no vacant places in the chosen kindergarten, the administration is obliged to offer alternative options to teachers in a short time.

The new initiative was adopted in pursuance of the Decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin on raising the status of teachers. To date, more than 4,000 education workers have already been covered by regional support measures in the Kostroma region.
