In Kovrov will condemn the “nominal” business woman

In Kovrov, the prosecutor's office completed an investigation into the case of shadow entrepreneurship. The deputy city prosecutor approved an indictment against a 40-year-old local resident. The woman is charged with two episodes under Part 1 of Article 173.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - the provision of a passport for the registration of fake persons.

As the investigation established, in November 2025, being in a difficult financial situation, the accused responded to a network offer for easy earnings. Having handed over a copy of the passport to a stranger, she, according to his instructions, issued the status of an individual entrepreneur, and in May of this year - a legal entity.

The nominee executive had no intention of managing firms, becoming only a tool in the hands of shadow dealers. The criminal case was transferred to the Kovrov City Court for consideration on the merits. It should be noted that since July 2025, fictitious business registration is a serious criminal offense, threatening imprisonment for up to three years.
