In Krasnodar celebrated the 83rd anniversary of the liberation of the region from fascist occupation

In Krasnodar in the Philharmonic named after G.F. Ponomarenko held a solemn event dedicated to the 83rd anniversary of the liberation of the region from Nazi invaders and the completion of the Battle for the Caucasus. The Kubans were congratulated by Governor Veniamin Kondratiev and Chairman of ZSK Yuri Burlachko.

The meeting was also attended by the chief federal inspector for the region Yevgeny Guliyev, heads of law enforcement and supervisory bodies, vice-governors, deputies of the ZSK, Heroes of the Soviet Union and the Russian Federation, commanders of military units and units of the Krasnodar garrison, veterans of the SVO, delegations of cities and districts, representatives of the Cossacks, youth and public organizations.

Governor Veniamin Kondratiev called October 9 a day of “sacred memory, pride and immense gratitude” to great-grandparents and great-great-grandmothers for their feat. He said: All we have left today is the memory of our great ancestors, the people who won. As long as it is alive, we must preserve it and pass it on to future generations. This is the only way to live a great victory and they are a great generation of winners.

Yuri Burlachko, congratulating his countrymen on behalf of the deputies of the Legislative Assembly, recalled that the Battle for the Caucasus was one of the bloodiest and longest battles of the Great Patriotic War and lasted 442 days. According to him, more than a million Red Army soldiers died there.

He also noted that the day of liberation of Kuban is not just a memorable date. “83 years ago it was the starting point for a new creative life. These days we remember the price of a common victory, the resilience of our cities, the heroism of the Soviet people at the front and in the rear, the valiant work of the inhabitants of the region after its liberation, said Yuri Burlachko.

According to him, the people of Kuban experienced "all the pain and horrors of war." He said that it is necessary not to allow these events to be forgotten, because “our strength is in memory today”, and stressed the importance of passing on the truth about the war to the younger generation. Burlachko also said that patriotic education should be built on the example of soldiers of the Great Patriotic War and participants in a special military operation, who “protect our country, freedom and independence with weapons in their hands.”.

The event ended with a thematic concert program. On October 9, more than 1.3 thousand events will be held in the region: actions, competitions, hours of patriotism, theatrical performances, performances, online flash mobs, talks, excursions and other thematic projects.

Thus, in the morning, Veniamin Kondratiev and Yuri Burlachko have already paid tribute to the victims of fascist terror. Together with colleagues, law enforcement officers, military and patriotic youth, they laid flowers to the Eternal Flame on the Square of Heroes in Krasnodar.

Earlier we reported that Yuri Burlachko congratulated Kuban residents on the anniversary of the liberation of the region.
