In the Krasnoyarsk region shot 982 bears

The Ministry of Natural Resources of the Krasnoyarsk Territory reports that the number of eliminated bears in the region has increased to 982. In August and September, seven people died from these predators. According to the Ministry on October 8, 898 bears were eliminated in the region, but by October 12 this figure increased.

The report notes that the risk of the exit of bears in certain areas of the region remains. As specified in the Ministry, in the framework of measures to regulate the number was extracted 982 brown bears.

According to state monitoring, the number of bears in the Krasnoyarsk Territory ranges from 25 to 32 thousand individuals. The main reason for predators to reach settlements is the lack of a feed base in the taiga: in the season of 2026 in Siberia there was a failure of the crop of pine nuts.
